EVAN SHIRREFFS
BUSINESS ANALYST
Evan is a Business Analyst with responsibilities including project management, business development, client relations, operations, and management of the firm's strategic partnerships and equity stake/portfolio companies. He originally joined WIMS in 2019 as an intern, focusing on marketing and finance. Evan has been instrumental in implementing growth strategies for the firm as it continues its expansion into the private investment industry.

Evan grew up in Georgia, where he graduated as Valedictorian from Jefferson High School in 2015 and earned a scholarship to play quarterback for the University of Miami. While playing for the Hurricanes, he also served as President of FCA and a representative for the Student-Athlete Advisory Council. In May of 2018, Evan graduated magna cum laude from "The U" with a BBA in finance and business law.

With two years of eligibility left, he decided to continue his collegiate football career at UNC-Charlotte while pursuing an MBA. During this time, he became involved in the Charlotte community by volunteering for the 2nd and 7 Foundation and Team IMPACT. Evan finished his MBA with a concentration in management in December of 2019.

The skills Evan developed during his time as a Division-I collegiate athlete have translated well since entering a career in business. He was recognized as a member of the Top 30 Under 30 "Future Leaders of Charlotte" Class of 2020.

Evan stays involved in the Charlotte community in various ways. He is a member of the Young Affiliates of the Mint (YAM) and was chosen to serve as the inaugural football board member for the UNC-Charlotte Niner Varsity Club in 2021.
​
His other professional experience includes working as an intern for Mainline International, Inc., a medical management firm specializing in cardiology and radiology ultrasound equipment, and interning for Protherapy, a physical therapy rehabilitation center.
